Despite increased attention to child sex trafficking, many minors are still arrested, charged, or punished for their own exploitation. In response, the latest Report Card framework shifts from a broad policy lens to a focused, survivor-informed approach centered on preventing unjust criminalization and ensuring protective responses for trafficked youth. This 45-minute webinar will introduce the new framework, walk through the four issue areas and ten core policy goals, and explain why each is essential to ending the criminalization of exploited children. Speakers will also highlight practical advocacy resources within the toolkit and share how advocates can use them to drive meaningful policy change.
This session is designed for advocates, service providers, policymakers, survivor leaders, and others working to strengthen laws and systems so trafficked children are treated as victims—not criminals.
